RHP PHILLPE AUMONT: Selected by the Mariners in the first round (11th overall) in the 2007 draft out of Ecole Du Versant in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.
LAST HOME START: Aumont made his second start (and first at home) of the season on May 18 against the Kane County Cougars. Aumont allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts over four innings and took the loss. Both runs scored by Kane County off Aumont were on wild pitches with runners at third base. The Rattlers lost 4-0 to the Cougars.
LAST START: Aumont pitched five shutout innings at Kane County in a 2-1 Wisconsin victory on May 29. Aumont gave up three hits, walked a pair and struck out a career high six batters.
FIRST: The runs scored by Burlington off Aumont on May 13 were the first earned runs allowed by Aumont this season. He did allow four unearned runs in a loss to Fort Wayne on April 14.
SAVINGS PLAN: Aumont is 2-for-3 in save opportunities. His two saves were outings of three innings in length.
VS. PEORIA: Aumont allowed three runs on five hits over 5-2/3 innings at O’Brien Field on May 23. He walked one, struck out three, and took the loss in a 5-2 Peoria victory.
