Mariner System Report (Games of 4/13)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 3-3; T-2nd AL West): The Mariners lost 5-2 to Texas at home. Former UW-Oshkosh Titan Jarrod Washburn gave up four runs (three earned) on seven hits over six innings to take the loss. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez had a pair of hits and scored a run for the Mariners.

TACOMA (AAA: 3-6; T-2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 6-1 to Sacramento in ten innings. All five Sacramento runs in the top of the tenth inning were unearned. Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) hit a solo homer for Tacoma. Balentien also had a single and a pair of walks.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 4-5; 3rd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Jacksonville 5-3. Brent Johnson (WI ’05) had three hits and drove in three runs for West Tennessee. Juan Sandoval (WI ’03) pitched two scoreless innings for his first save of the season.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 2-7; T-4th California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Lake Elsinore 7-2 and snapped a six game losing streak. Michael Saunders (WI ’06) had three hits and drove in three runs for High Desert. Nick Allen (WI ’06) got the win with 2-2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
