Shocking trade is treat for Barb
Andrew Barb was in a state of shock.
A lifelong Mariners fan, he had grown up cheering for Jamie Moyer. He would never have guessed, while playing at Juanita High School in Kirkland, that he would one day be part of the trade that sent Moyer to the Philadelphia Phillies.
"I didn't even know that guys in [Class] A ball could be traded," said Barb, the 22-year-old right-handed pitcher who leads the Class A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers with nine saves.
"I think I am still in a little shock even now that I was part of a trade that included Jamie Moyer."
