SEATTLE (MAJ: 44-33; 2nd AL West): The Mariners beat the Blue Jays 8-3. Ben Broussard went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI as Seattle won their seventh straight game.
TACOMA (AAA: 35-48; 4th Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Salt lake 9-8. Tacoma rallied from a 5-0 deficit after the top of the first inning. Jeff Clement (WI ’05) and Adam Jones (WI ’04) both had home runs for the Rainiers.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 34-49 overall; 3-10 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 7-1 to Huntsville. Matt Tuiasosopo (WI ’05) had a home run for the only West Tennessee run.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 34-46 overall; 3-7 T-4th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 17-4 to Lancaster. Adam Moore (WI ’06) homered for High Desert, but the Mavs got swept by the JetHawks.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 8-4, 3rd Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox beat Eugene 6-5. Greg Halman (WI ’07) hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game for Everett.
AZL Mariners (Rookie: 8-1; 1st Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Angels 2-1. They scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning for their sixth straight win.
