SEATTLE (MAJ: 45-35; 2nd AL West): The Mariners lost 17-4 at Kansas City. Ryan Feierabend (WI ’04) allowed ten runs on eight hits in 1-1/3 innings for the loss. Ryan Rowland-Smith (WI ’03) worked the final 2-1/3 innings and allowed an unearned run.
TACOMA (AAA: 36-50; 4th Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 5-4 to Salt Lake. Adam Jones (WI ’04) had two hits and three RBI for Tacoma. But, the Bees scored a run in the top of the ninth to break a 4-4 tie. Mark Lowe (WI ’05) pitched 1/3 of an inning to start and gave up a walk and a pair of hits, but no runs.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 36-50 overall; 5-11 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 9-6 to Huntsville. Brent Johnson (WI ’05) had a pair of hits, scored two runs, and drove in two for West Tennessee. Alex Meneses (WI ’07) had a pair of hits for the Diamond Jaxx. A late Jaxx rally fell short.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 35-48 overall; 4-9 T-4th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 4-2. Kevin Reynolds (WI ’07) and Jeffrey Dominguez (WI ’06) each hit their first professional home runs to erase an early 2-0 lead. Jose Escalona (WI ’06) got the win.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 9-6 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox lost 11-1 at Boise. Greg Halman (WI ’07) drove in the only Everett run of the game.
AZL Mariners (Rookie: 9-1; 1st Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Giants 9-7. Carlos Triunfel (WI ’07) had a hit and an RBI for the M's.
