Tonight's Rattler Starting Pitcher (6/9)

RHP PHILLPE AUMONT: Selected by the Mariners in the first round (11th overall) in the 2007 draft out of Ecole Du Versant in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.

LAST START: Aumont pitched a career high seven innings in a win over Peoria on June 3 at home. He allowed six hits and walked one. Aumont also matched his career high for strikeouts in a game with six. The Rattlers cruised to a 4-2 win over the Chiefs.

THAT’S A STREAK: Aumont has won two straight starts. In his last twelve innings, Aumont has allowed one run on nine hits with two walks and 12 strikeouts.

FIRST: The runs scored by Burlington off Aumont on May 13 were the first earned runs allowed by Aumont this season. He did allow four unearned runs in a loss to Fort Wayne on April 14.

SAVINGS PLAN: Aumont is 2-for-3 in save opportunities. His two saves were outings of three innings in length.

VS. BURLINGTON: Aumont allowed two runs on four hits in three innings of relief work. He picked up a blown save, but also got the win in a 6-4 Rattler victory on May 13. Aumont did not walk a batter and struck out three at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
