Rattler History...Since 2000

Here is how the Rattlers have fared on July 17...since 2000.

2000: The Rattlers beat Burlington 3-2 at home. JJ Putz pitched seven scoreless innings and allowed two hits while striking out nine. Ryan Christianson hit a two-run homer in te fourth inning for a 3-0 lead. Rattler records after this game: 15-9 second half, 53-39 overall

2001: The Rattlers lost 7-4 at Peoria. The Chiefs scored four times in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally from a 4-3 deficit. Rattler records after this game: 16-9, 58-35

2002: The Rattlers won 6-2 at South Bend. Emiliano Fruto pitched seven scoreless innings and Cip Garcia chipped in with three hits and two RBI. Rattler records after this game: 5-20, 35-59

2003: The Rattlers lost 3-2 at Quad Cities. Jose Morales drove in the winning run with an eighth inning double to snap a 2-2 tie. Rattler records after this game: 11-15, 49-43

2004: The Rattlers won 4-2 at South Bend. Wladimir Balentien homered and Nibaldo Acosta pitched eight strong innings for Wisconsin. Ruben Castillo entered in the bottom of the ninth after Casey Abrams allowed a one out single. Castillo got the next three outs for the save. Rattler records after this game: 10-12, 41-50

2005: The Rattlers lost 12-5 at Kane County. The Cougars scored eight runs in the third inning to make the score 10-2. Raul Padron hit a pair of homers off Ivan Blanco -- a two-run shot in the second and a three-run shot in the third -- for the Cougars. Rattler records after this game: 11-13, 50-44

2006: The Rattlers beat the SWING 2-1 in 12 innings at home. Eddy Hernandez drove in the winning run with a two-out single in the bottom of the 12th. Rattler records after this game: 8-17, 35-60

2007: The Rattlers lost 4-3 at Beloit. Chris Parmelee drew a 4-pitch walk from Rollie Gibson with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning to force in the winning run. Rattler records after this game: 8-15, 30-61

A 4-4 record but some really interesting performances make this an interesting day in Timber Rattler history...since 2000.
