In pregame ceremonies‚ California's Clyde Wright is inducted into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Hall of Fame for his pitching while at Carson-Newman College. He then hurls a no-hitter against Oakland‚ winning 4-0. Reggie Jackson's 400-foot shot to dead center in the 7th is caught.

That is a pretty good day.
