SEATTLE (MAJ: 66-50; 2nd AL West): The Mariners beat Minnesota 4-3. Richie Sexson had three RBI for Seattle, including a game-winning solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. JJ Putz (’00) got the win with a scoreless top of the ninth.
TACOMA (AAA: 56-67; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 6-5 at Colorado Springs. Jeff Clement (’05) had a pair of RBI for Tacoma, but the Sky Sox rallied from a 5-1 deficit for the win.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 50-70 overall; 19-31 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx were off on Monday.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 49-72 overall; 18-33 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Bakersfield 6-1. Johan Limonta (’06) went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI. Chris Tillman (’07) allowed one run on five hits with seven strikeouts over seven innings for the win.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 23-31; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox lost 4-2 to Salem-Keizer. Greg Halman (’07) hit a solo homer for Everett, but Sox batters struck out fourteen times in the loss.
AZL Mariners (Rookie: 27-17 overall; 7-8 second half 5th Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Rangers 11-7.
