SEATTLE (MAJ: 36-57 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 3-1 at Kansas City. Felix Hernandez (’03) pitched five inning in his first start off the disabled list. He allowed three runs on four hits and struck out eight, but the offense wasn't there.
TACOMA (AAA: 46-49, T-3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers won 11-6 at Las Vegas. Wladimir Balentien (’04) hit a pair of homers and drove in four runs for Tacoma. Matt Tuiasosopo (’05) drove in three runs in the victory.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 48-46, 7-17 5th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx won 10-4 at Tennessee. Johan Limonta went 4-for-5 with three RBI for West Tennessee and a six-run sixth inning put the win away.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 42-50, 10-12 second half 4th California League South Division): The Mavericks split a doubleheader with Rancho Cucamonga. The Quakes won game one 18-2. The Mavs won game two 7-4 as Carlos Peguero (’07) homered and drove in a pair of runs.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 9-15, T-2nd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 11-4 at Tri-Cities. Kevin Reynolds (’08) had three hits and an RBI for Everett.
PULASKI (Rookie: 15-8, 2nd Appalachian League East Division): The M’s beat Kingsport 6-5. Kris Sanchez hit a pair of homers and Kalian Sams (’07) homered and drove in three runs for Pulaski.
PEORIA (Rookie: 7-9 7th Arizona League): The AZL M’s were off on Friday.
