SEATTLE (MAJ: 35-55 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 2-0 at Oakland. Carlos Silva allowed two runs on seven hits over eight innings and took the loss. A’s starting pitcher Justin Duchscherer allowed two hits for the complete game shutout.
TACOMA (AAA: 45-47, 4th Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 20-7 at Salt Lake. Wladimir Balentien (’04) homered for Tacoma and the Rainiers led 6-5 after the top of the fourth. The Bees ran away after that.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 47-44, 6-15 5th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 5-2 at Tennessee. Mike Wilson (’04) hit a two-run homer for West Tennessee’s only runs, but the Diamond Jaxx have lost five straight.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 40-49, 8-11 second half 3rd California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 8-6 to Rancho Cucamonga. Carlos Triunfel (’07) and Jamie McOwen (’07) both hit home runs for the Mavs, but a 5-3 High Desert lead evaporated after a five run seventh inning by the Quakes. High Desert has lost five straight.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 9-12, 2nd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox were off on Tuesday.
PULASKI (Rookie: 11-8, 2nd Appalachian League East Division): The M’s were rained out in Johnson City. Doubleheader today.
PEORIA (Rookie: 5-9 8th Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 6-3 to the Cubs.
