The '82 Brewers beat California 4-1 on May 20 at County Stadium. The Moose came through with a complete game and got enough run support in the first inning to last the whole game.
Milwaukee pounced in the first. Doney Money doubled in Paul Molitor and Cecil Cooper. Ben Oglivie doubled in Money and it was 3-0.
Moose Haas gave up six hits, one run, one walk, and struck out six for the win. The only run came in on a Brian Downing sacrifice fly in the fourth.
The Crew got their three run cushion back in the bottom of the fourth on an unearned run thanks to a throwing error by Bob Boone.
Haas cruised the rest of the way.

The Brewers are now 19-17, but they still trail Boston and Detroit by five games in the AL East.
The '82 Brewers continue the home stand with a game against the Mariners on May 21.
