Mariner System Report (Games of 5/23)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 21-21; T-2nd AL West): The Mariners beat the Devil Rays 5-1. Jose Guillen had four hits and drove in a pair of runs for Seattle. Miguel Batista allowed one run over six innings for the win.

TACOMA (AAA: 20-27; 4th Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 6-0 to Las Vegas. The 51’s scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to break a scoreless game.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 20-26; T-3rd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Chattanooga 3-1. Justin Thomas (WI ’06) allowed one run on three hits over six innings for the win. Prentice Redman drove in a pair of runs for West Tennessee and Craig James (WI ’05) worked a scoreless ninth inning for the save.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 19-27; 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Lake Elsinore 4-3. Jesus Guzman snapped a 2-2 tie with a two-run triple in the bottom of the eighth. Adam Moore (WI ’06) drove in a pair of runs earlier in the game. Nick Allen (WI ’06) pitched 2-1/3 scoreless innings for the win. That's four straight wins for the Mavs.
