SEATTLE (MAJ: 19-21; 3rd AL West): The Mariners lost 5-3 at Cleveland. Cha Seung Baek (WI ’00) gave up five runs on eight hits over 6-1/3 innings and took the loss. Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) pitched 1-2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
TACOMA (AAA: 20-25; 4th Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Las Vegas 8-3. Adam Jones (WI ’04) had three hits, including a home run, scored three runs, and drove in two for Tacoma. Ryan Feierabend (WI ’04) picked up the victory.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 19-25; 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx shutout Huntsville 8-0. Joe Woerman (WI ’06) pitched six scoreless innings, allowed two hits, walked four, and struck out eight to earn the win. Renee Rivera (WI ’03) had five RBI – four on a grand slam home run – for West Tennessee.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 17-27; 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks were off on Monday.
