Mariner System Report (Games of 8/3)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 60-47; 2nd AL West): The Mariners beat Boston 7-4. Adam Jones (’04) went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored for Seattle. David Ortiz (’96) homered and knocked in a pair of runs for the Red Sox. JJ Putz (’00) pitched a scoreless ninth for his 32nd save of the season.

TACOMA (AAA: 51-63; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Memphis 4-3. Rob Johnson (’05) had a pair of hits and drove in a run as Tacoma rallied from a 3-0 deficit. Jeremy Reed hit a homer in the eighth to snap a 3-3 tie.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 47-64 overall; 16-25 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 3-1 at Carolina. Marshall Hubbard (’05) drove in the only run of the game for West Tennessee.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 44-68 overall; 13-29 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 9-1. Adam Moore (’06) had three RBI for High Desert's third straight win.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 19-25; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox beat Tri-City 5-4. Welington Dotel drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning. Greg Halman (’07) hit one homer and Kalian Sams (’07) hit two homers for the Sox.

AZL Mariners (Rookie: 24-11 overall; 4-3 second half T-3rd Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 9-4 to the Rangers.
