Mariner System Report (Games of 8/5)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 60-49; 2nd AL West): The Mariners lost 9-2 to the Red Sox. Boston led 3-1 through six innings and pulled away with six runs over the final three innings.

TACOMA (AAA: 53-63; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Nashville 9-8 in ten innings. The Sounds scored twice in the top of the tenth. Jeremy Reed drew a bases loaded walk and Brant Ust drove in two runs with a single to account for the winning runs. Sebastien Boucher (’05) had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Rainiers.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 48-65 overall; 17-26 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Carolina 11-5. Charlton Jimerson had four hits and five RBI for West Tennessee. Marshall Hubbard (’05) had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI to help out.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 46-68 overall; 15-29 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Inland Empire 6-3. Johan Limonta (’06) had a pair of RBI for High Desert. Nathan Adcock (’07) allowed three runs – none earned – over six innings for the win. That's five straight wins for the Mavs.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 21-25; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox beat Tri-City 9-3. Craig Hurba and Kalian Sams (’07) each had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI for Everett. That's seven straight wins for the Sox.

AZL Mariners (Rookie: 25-11 overall; 5-3 second half T-2nd Arizona League): The AZL M’s were off on Monday.
