Mariner System Report (Games of 8/9)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 63-49; 2nd AL West): The Mariners beat Baltimore 13-8. Adam Jones (’04) went 3-for-4 with four runs scored. Ichiro knocked in three runs and the Mariners are a game up on Detroit and New York in the American League Wild Card Standings.

TACOMA (AAA: 54-65; 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers were off on Thursday. They start a series with Colorado Springs tonight.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 50-67 overall; 19-28 second half; 5th second half Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Tennessee 10-4. Marshall Hubbard (’05) hit a pair of homers and drove in five runs for West Tennessee. Luis Valbuena (’06) and Mike Wilson (’05) added home runs of their own for the Diamond Jaxx.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 48-69 overall; 17-30 second half; 5th second half California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Rancho Cucamonga 7-5. Adam Moore (’06) hit his twentieth home run of the season and drove in three runs for High Desert. Nick Allen (’06) got the win in relief.

EVERETT (Short Season-A: 22-28; 4th Northwest League West Division): The AquaSox lost 6-0 at Yakima. Greg Halman (’07) had two of Everett’s four hits.

AZL Mariners (Rookie: 26-15 overall; 6-6 second half T-4th Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 6-1 to the Angels.
