SEATTLE (MAJ: 37-58 4th American League West): The Mariners won 4-3 at Kansas City. Jeff Clement (’05) hit a two run homer that put Seattle up 3-2. The M’s scored a run in the top of the ninth to break a 3-3 tie.
TACOMA (AAA: 48-49, 3rd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers won 5-3 at Las Vegas. Bryan LaHair (’04) went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and an RBI for Tacoma.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 49-46, 8-17 5th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx were off on Sunday.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 42-52, 10-14 second half T-4th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost a pair of games to Modesto at home. The Nuts won the completion of Saturday’s suspended game 10-6 despite five home runs by High Desert. Modesto won game two 7-1.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 11-15, 2nd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox beat Tri-Cities 8-0. Three Everett pitchers combined on the shutout.
PULASKI (Rookie: 17-8, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s beat Kingsport 5-1 in a game shortened to six innings by rain.
PEORIA (Rookie: 7-11 8th Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 6-5 to the Angels. JJ Putz (’00) pitched a scoreless inning in a rehab start, but the Angels scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth.
