Caught Them By Surprise

We arrived at the hotel in Davenport at 2:50am, but the keys weren't made up ahead of time so it was a bit of a wait to get to our rooms.

It was a bit longer for me. I made it all the way to my room lugging my computer, radio equipment, briefcase, & luggage. Put the key in the slot, opened the door...and was denied by the security latch over the door. Yep, there were people already in there. Good thing they put that latch on before they went to bed.

Back down to the lobby, new room, new key and a quick post.

Originally, this post was only going to be about how long it took us to get from Lansing to here. Left at 10:40pm EDT arrived at 2:50amCDT.

That's just over five hours. Now, time to get a little sleep before the maids knock on the door for service.
