Mariner System Report (Games of 6/28)

Seattle (MAJ: 40-39; 3rd AL West): Seattle beat Arizona 10-3. Felix Hernandez (WI ’03) allowed two runs on seven hits over seven innings for his eighth win of the season. Richie Sexson drove in three runs for the Mariners, who are now above .500.

Tacoma (AAA – 44-35; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma won their tenth straight game with a 7-0 win at Las Vegas. Cesar Jimenez (WI ’03) took a no-hitter into the ninth inning before allowing a lead off double in ninth inning. Jimenez pitched a complete game, walked two, and struck out four. Jeff Clement (WI ’05) hit a grand slam for his first Triple-A home run for the Rainiers. Shin soo Choo (WI ’02) also homered for Tacoma.

San Antonio (AA – 32-43; 5-2 second half 2nd Texas League South Division): San Antonio lost 4-3 to Arkansas. Mark Lowe (WI ’05) allowed a pair of runs in the top of the ninth for a blown save. Matt Tuiasosopo (WI ’05) went 3-for-3 with the Missions.

Inland Empire (High-A – 43-32, 4-1 second half; T-1st California League South Division): Inland Empire was off yesterday.

Everett (Short Season-A – 8-2; 2nd Northwest League West Division): Everett lost 3-2 at Yakima. Manelik Pimentel was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, and and RBI for the AquaSox. But, the Bears held on for the win.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 4-2; T-2nd Arizona League): The Mariners lost 8-7 to the Brewers. Wellington Dotel had a three run homer for the Mariners.
