If Friday's Game Were a Movie...

Instead of Tonight's game in a word, I'm going to try something a little different for the second half. I'll pick a movie that best fits that night's game and try to explain it.

Here we go:

If Friday's game was a movie it would be:

Groundhog Day

Tonight's game was the 1993 Bill Murray classic. All it was missing was the clock radio playing I've Got You, Babe to start the game.

Joe Piekarz was Ned! Ned Ryerson! Needlenose Ned! Ned the Head! You can never have too much insurance! He struck out 11 tonight!

The Cougar Offense was the big party around Gobbler's Knob that just keeps on going. They are 11-3 against the Rattlers this season.

The Rattlers are either Phil Connor while he is still trying to figure out just what exactly is happening to him or the two easily distracted armored car guards.

I don't really see the Andie MacDowell character in this game tonight, but if this is Groundhog Day, the Rattlers will eventually get the girl and win over the entire town.
