Tacoma (AAA – 36-35; T-2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Sacramento 8-2. Hunter Brown (WI ’02) and Shin-Soo Choo (WI ’02) both homered for the Rainiers. Chris Snelling (WI ’00) knocked in three runs for Tacoma. Francisco Cruceta gave up one run despite walking six and got the win. Scott Atchison (WI ’99) pitched the final three innings for the save.
San Antonio (AA – 27-41; 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio was off on Monday.
Inland Empire (High-A – 39-31; 2nd California League South Division): Inland Empire beat High Desert 5-0. Robert Rohrbaugh (WI ’05) pitched a complete game and struck out ten to beat the Mavericks. Marshall Hubbard (WI ’05) had a pair of hits and drove in a run. The win last night tied the 66ers and the Mavericks for the first half South Division title. The tie-breaker is tonight’s game.
Everett (Short Season-A – 1-0; T-1st Northwest League West Division): The Sox started their season with a 5-3 win over Tri-City. Mike Schilling pitched seven scoreless innings for the win. Leury Bonilla had four RBI to help Everett to the win.
