Mariner System Report (Games of 6/24)

Seattle (MAJ: 37-39; 3rd AL West): Seattle beat San Diego 9-5. Former Appleton Fox Raul Ibanez homered twice in the game for the Mariners and he has sixteen on the season. Jamie Moyer allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings for the win.

Tacoma (AAA – 40-35; 2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma beat Portland 12-2. Chris Snelling (WI ’00) had three doubles, three runs scored, and four RBI for the Rainiers. Rich Dorman (WI ’03) pitched seven innings and walked only one while striking out seven.

San Antonio (AA – 29-42; 2-1 second half T-2nd Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Springfield 8-2. Robert Rohrbaugh (WI ’05) won his Double-A debut for the Missions with a six inning outing. Sebatien Boucher (WI '05) stole three bases and scored three runs to ignite the San Antonio offense. Rohrbaugh gave up two runs on eight hits and struck out five. Marshall Hubbard (WI ’05) hit his first Texas League homer for San Antonio.

Inland Empire (High-A – 43-32, 4-1 second half; T-1st California League South Division): Inland Empire beat Modesto 1-0 to head into their All-Star break on a winning note. Chad Fillinger (WI ’05) pitched six shutout innings, gave up three hits, and struck out four and got the victory. The lone 66er run of the game scored on a double play.

Everett (Short Season-A – 5-1; 2nd Northwest League West Division): Everett beat Yakima 4-2. Joe White hit his second homer of the year for the AquaSox. Mike Schilling was the starter for the Sox and got his second win of the season by allowing two runs over six innings.

AZL M’s (Rookie – 2-0; T-1st Arizona League): The AZL Mariners game with the AZL Rangers was reported as in progress with no final score.
