Paul Fagan (Charlton Heston) is the last pitcher left after the Apocolypse (the first two games of the second half). He alone must face The Family (the Kane County Cougars) until help arrives in the a small band of non-Family humans (the Rattler offense). Fagan and non-family humans manage to defeat The Family.
I'll note here that this analogy is imperfect as Chuck Heston dies after killing off The Family and Fagan just needed to ice his arm after striking out four and walking one for the first 9-inning complete game of his career.
The Omega Man was one of those post-apocolyptic movies churned out by Hollywood in the 70's. Heston as Neville and Anthony Zerbe as Matthias make it a fun movie to watch. This game was a lot of fun to watch as the Rattlers beat Kane County.Click HERE for a complete box score of Saturday's Game.
