Mariner System Report (Games of 6/13)

Seattle (MAJ: 31-34; 3rd AL West): Seattle lost 2-0 at Oakland. The Mariners were held to five hits by a pair of former Kane County Cougar pitchers. Joe Blanton pitched eight innings for the win and Huston Street pitched the ninth for the save.

Tacoma (AAA – 32-32; T-2nd PCL Pacific Northern Division): Tacoma lost 10-1 to Sacramento. Clint Nageotte (WI ’01) allowed eight runs on nine hits over 1-2/3 innings for the loss. The Rainier offense managed just four hits in the game,

San Antonio (AA – 24-39; 4th Texas League South Division): San Antonio beat Corpus Christi 8-1. Oswaldo Navarro (WI ’05) was 2-for-4 with five RBI for San Antonio. Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) and Mark Lowe (WI ’05) wrapped up the final four innings of the game for Yorman Bazardo out of the Mission bullpen.

Inland Empire (High-A – 35-29; 1st California League South Division): Inland Empire lost 3-2 in thirteen innings at San Jose. The Giants tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Aaron Jensen (WI ’05) pitched six scoreless innings, but got a no decision. California League All-Star Yung Chi Chen (WI ’05) had two more hits to move his batting average to .333.
