ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The Timber Rattlers beat the Chiefs 11-1. Carlos Peguero had three hits and drove in four runs to lead Wisconsin’s offensive outburst. Carlos Triunfel had three hits and scored three runs.
ON SECOND THOUGHT: Wisconsin matched their highest total for runs scored in an inning when they plated seven runs in the second inning last night. They were already up 2-0 after a Peguero two-run double in the bottom of the first. Triunfel started the run scoring in the second with a two run double. Peguero drove him in with a single. Later in the inning, Alex Liddi had a two run double and Kuo Hui Lo knocked in two more runs with a single.
PEG-O’ MY HEART: The four runs driven in by Peguero last night matched the RBI by a Rattler player in a game this season. Greg Halman had four RBI in the Rattlers 11-10 loss to Fort Wayne on April 29.
TRU BELIEVER: Yesterday was the second consecutive three-hit game for Triunfel. During his current three game hitting streak, the Rattler shortstop is 7-for-12.
THANKS FOR THE RUNS: Rattler starting pitcher Anthony Varvaro pitched five innings and allowed just one run despite walking four for the victory. Varvaro was also the starting and winning pitcher when the Rattlers scored a dozen runs in their 12-4 win over Fort Wayne at on April 27. Varvaro has pen the winning pitcher in two of the three Wisconsin home wins this season.
A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR THE BULLPEN: Rattler relievers Justin Souza and Rollie Gibson combined to pitch four scoreless innings last night. In the last five games, Rattler relievers have pitched 26-2/3 innings and have allowed five earned runs for an ERA of 1.69.
TOUGH WAY TO END THE STREAK: Gavin Dickey’s seven game hitting streak ended last night. He was 0-for-1 with a hit batsman and a run scored. Dickey left the game before the top of the fifth inning.
FLAWLESS: The Rattlers did not commit an error in last night’s game. Neither did the Chiefs. That makes Saturday the second time this season (and first time at home) that neither team was charged with an error.
GOOD CROWD: The Rattlers drew a season high 4,107 fans to the game at Time Warner Cable Field for the game last night.

He went 1-4 with a 4.87ERA in twelve appearances (11 starts) between the AZL Cubs and the Boise Hawks of the Northwest League in 2006.
