The '57 Braves snapped their three game losing streak with a 10-5 win at St. Louis on May 10. Johnny Logan had a very good day. Milwaukee's shortstop went 4-for-4 with five RBI. The Braves had three home runs on the day.
The Braves wasted no time getting in front. They scored three times in the top of the first inning. Danny O'Connell and Hank Aaron walked to start the game. Eddie Matthews singled in O'Connell. Later in the inning, Logan doubled in two runs.
Milwaukee starter Juan Pizarro had a 4-0 lead after a he homered with two outs in the top of the second, but gave up a Ken Boyer homer in the bottom of the second.
That didn't bother the Braves. Logan singled in Frank Torre in the top of the third and it as 5-1 Milwaukee. It became 6-1 on an RBI single by Aaron to drive in Pizarro in the top of the fourth.
The Cardinals got close with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Wally Moon hit a three-run homer.
But, Pizarro was on base again in the top of the sixth and Matthews hit a home run, his fourth of the season. The Braves were up 8-4.
Logan homered in the seventh and drove in Torre with a single in the ninth for the ten runs. Pizarro allowed one more run in the bottom of the ninth, but got the complete game victory.

The '57 Braves are now 14-6. They are in first place in the National League, one game in front of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Next up for the Braves is game two of the series with the Cardinals on May 11.
