SEATTLE (MAJ: 15-14; 2nd AL West): The Mariners beat Detroit 9-2. Cha Seung Baek (WI ’00) allowed single runs in the first and second innings, but settled down to pick up a complete game victory. Jose Guillen homered and drove in four runs. Raul Ibanez (Foxes ’94) had three hits and scored a pair of runs.
TACOMA (AAA: 15-19; T-2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Round Rock 2-1. Bryan LaHair (WI ’04) singled in a pair of runs in the top of the first inning. Justin Lehr allowed one unearned run over 6-1/3 innings for the win.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 15-18; T-2nd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 3-1 at Mississippi. Brent Johnson (WI ’05) drove in the only run of the game for West Tennessee. The Braves hit three home runs off Robert Rohrbaugh (WI '05).
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 11-22; 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 15-6 at Lancaster. Paul Fagan (WI ’06) allowed ten runs on twelve hits over 5-1/3 innings and saw his three game winning streak end. Michael Saunders (WI ’06) had two hits, and drove in three runs for the Mavs.
