Dean Crow, Appleton Foxes 1994
Crow was a tenth round pick of the Mariners in the 1993 draft out of Baylor University. He spent the 1994 season with the Foxes and went 2-4 with two saves with a 7.04 ERA in fourteen relief appearances.
Crow stayed in the M's organization all the way up to Tacoma in 1997. But, he was traded Carlos Villalobos and Scott Sanders to Detroit for Omar Olivares and Felipe Lira in July of that year.
Crow made his major league debut with the Tigers on May 29, 1998. He entered in the top of the seventh inning with the Tigers trailing 7-2. He allowed two hits in two scoreless innings and got the win when Detroit rallied for two runs in the seventh and four more in the bottom of the eighth.
Crow was 2-2 with a 3.94ERA in 34 relief appearances for the Tigers that year. But, this would be the only season in the show for Crow. The Tigers traded him to the Astros in January of 1999 with Carlos Villalobos, Brian Powell, Mark Persails and Paul Bako for C.J. Nitkowski and Brad Ausmus.
He pitched one season for Triple-A New Orleans and I can't find anything on him after that 1999 season. But, he won his major league debut. Not a lot of relievers can say that.
