Mariner System Report (Games of 5/3)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 12-11; 2nd AL West): The Mariners lost 8-7 at Boston. Seattle scored five times in the top of the first inning, fell behind 7-5, tied the game at seven, but lost on a Manny Ramirez homer in the eighth.

TACOMA (AAA: 13-15; 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 12-1 to Colorado Springs. Jason Mackintosh (WI ’04) entered the game in the seventh with Tacoma trailing 4-1. Mackintosh allowed eight runs in the final three at bats. Wladimir Balentien (WI ’04) had a pair of hits for the Rainiers. The SkySox turned six double plays in the game.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 12-15; T-3rd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Mobile 6-2. Marshall Hubbard (WI ’05) drove in a pair of runs for West Tennessee.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 10-18; 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks beat Bakersfield 3-2. Paul Fagan (WI ’06) allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts over six innings for his third straight win. Michael Saunders (WI ’06) scored two runs and Johan Limonta (WI ’06) drove in one for the Mavericks.
