Mariners: May 6, 1997

The '97 M's beat the White Sox 7-6 at new Comiskey on May 6. They did it with a late rally.

Seattle trailed 6-3 heading into the top of the eighth against the Sox bullpen.

Russ Davis doubled in the first run. Alvaro Espinoza singled in the second run. Rich Amaral singled in the tying and go ahead runs for a 7-6 lead.

Norm Charlton worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning for the save That 1-2-3 included getting Albert Belle looking at strike three to end the game.

The Mariners are 19-12 and in first place in the AL West. The Rangers are still 1-1/2 games back.

Seattle did not play on May 7, 1997. Next action is May 8 at Baltimore.
