The '97 Mariners bounced back from their loss in Baltimore on May 8 with an 8-2 win over the Orioles. Jamie, Joey, and Junior all had big days for the M's.
Jamie Moyer was the starting pitcher and tossed 6-1/3 innings and struck out eight while allowing just two runs on six hits.
Joey Cora went 5-for-5 with a homer, and three RBI.
Ken Griffey homered and knocked in four runs.
The Mariners went up 6-0 with two runs in the first, one in the second, and three in the fourth. Griffey had a sac fly in the first and a three run homer in the fourth. That home run was his 15th of the season.

The '97 M's are 20-13 after this win. They are in first place and have a two game lead on the Rangers in the AL West.
Seattle continues their series with the Orioles on May 10.
