Brewers: May 11, 1982

The '82 Brewers may have played their worst game to date on May 11. The Kansas City Royals beat the Crew 17-3.

Don Money drove in all three Brewer runs, but his two run homer in the sixth inning only made the score 12-2.

Jerry Augustine was the starting pitcher and over his five innings he allowed twelve runs on fifteen hits for the loss.

Amos Otis, who hit the game winner homer the night before, hit another home run in this game. Hal McRae homered and drove in five runs. Willie Wilson also homered and drove in four. Frank White had three RBI. No George Brett in the lineup for the Royals, but it didn't matter.

Larry Gura pitched five shutout innings for the win.

The loss knocked the Brewers to 16-12 on the season and back into third place in the AL East. They are 3-1/2 games behind Boston.

The series in Kansas City ends on May 12.
