Brewers: May 2, 1982

The '82 Crew beat Minnesota 6-5 at the Metrodome on May 1 (Thanks to a five run eighth inning). So they were going for the series win on May 2. Milwaukee got it with an 11-4 victory.

Randy Lerch got the win, but highlights belonged to the offense, mainly Ted Simmons.

Simba hit a pair of home runs and drove in six runs. His three run homer in the first made the score 4-0. A three run homer in the seventh put the Twins away. Gorman Thomas also homered for the Crew.

The win put the Brewers at 11-8. They are in third place 2-1/2 games behind Boston.

Milwaukee heads to Kansas City to start a series with the Royals on 5/3.
