Brewers: May 3, 1982

The '82 Brewers lost 3-2 at Kansas City as Paul Splittorff outpitched Mike Caldwell at County Stadium.

The game was scoreless until the top of the sixth. Greg Pryor hit a home run to start the inning. Hal McRae had an two-run double later in the inning for a 3-0 lead.

The Brewers rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh. Larry Hisle hit a pinch hit, two-run homer off Splittorff. But, Dan Quisenberry entered the game and got the final eight outs of the game to close out the Crew.

Caldwell gave up ten hits and three runs over 8-1/3 innings and took the loss.

The loss dropped Milwaukee to 11-9. They are in third place, 3-1/2 games behind Boston in the AL EAST.
