The Foxes, who had clinched the Three-I League pennant on August 31, saw their record drop to 80-51.

This was the second to last game of the regular season for the Foxes. They tied the Muskies with a run in the top of the ninth inning on a Wes Kent sacrifice fly.

Madison won the game in the bottom of the fourteenth on a homer by John Kanter.

The Foxes are 85-53 on the season and they have one more game with the Muskies at Warner Park. The 1985 MWL playoffs begin on September 3.
