Rattler Olympic Report
Canada beat the Netherlands 4-0. Ex-Rattlers for Canada: Michael Saunders ('06) went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Jon Lockwood ('05) pitched a scoreless, hitless inning as one of four Canadian pitchers who combined for a two-hit shutout of the Dutch.
Taiwan lost to the US 4-2. Kuo Hui Lo ('07) went 0-for-4 for Taiwan.
Canada and Taiwan play each other on 8/20.

Rattler Olympic Report
Canada lost 5-2 to Japan. Michael Saunders ('06) went 1-for-3 with a double for the Canadians.
Taiwan lost 9-8 to Korea. Kuo Hui Lo ('07) went 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored for Taiwan.

Rattler Olympic Report
Yesterday was an off day for Canada and Taiwan.
The Canadians take on Japan later on (much later on) tonight. Taiwan has a game with Korea much, much later on tonight.

Rattler Olympic Report
I really tried to stay awake to watch the Taiwan vs. Cuba game on Telemundo last night. But, I fell asleep after Cuba took the lead on a home run by Frederich Cepeda in the seventh inning. That was the only run in a 1-0 win for the Cubans.
Kuo Hui Lo ('07) went 0-for-4 for Taiwan.
Michael Saunders ('06) went 0-for-4 with an RBI for Canada in a 5-4 loss to the USA.
Both Taiwan and Canada are now 1-2.
Canada faces Japan on Monday. Taiwan's next game is against Korea.
Kuo Hui Lo ('07) went 0-for-4 for Taiwan.
Michael Saunders ('06) went 0-for-4 with an RBI for Canada in a 5-4 loss to the USA.
Both Taiwan and Canada are now 1-2.
Canada faces Japan on Monday. Taiwan's next game is against Korea.

Rattler Olympic report
A couple of tough losses for the Rattler Alums in Beijing.
Kuo Hui Lo ('07) went 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored, and four walks, but Taiwan lost 8-7 in 12 innings to China. Taiwan scored four times in the top of the twelfth, but China scored five times in the bottom of the twelfth.
Michael Saunders ('06) went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a stolen base, but Canada lost 1-0 to Korea.
Canada takes on the US and Taiwan faces Cuba tonight...much later tonight.
Speaking of the US and Cuba. The Americans lost 5-4 to the Cubans in 11 innings last night.

Three ex-Rattlers are representing their countries in the Olympics.

Canada is 1-1 so far. They beat China 10-0 in the first game, but lost 7-6 to Cuba in their second game.
