Two days only

The Homestand Highlights release for the next seven games is up on the Timber rattlers website. But, I wanted to point this part out.
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez is scheduled for a rehabilitation assignment and will appear in games for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Time Warner Cable Field on Wednesday, May 19 and Thursday, May 20.
This is cool.

Wednesday's game is at 12:05pm. Thursday's game is at 6:35pm. Click on either of those two dates to order tickets for the individual games.

Timber Rattlers are giving away Brewers tickets

Head over to the Timber Rattlers facebook page. The team is giving away four tickets to the Brewers Tuesday, May 11 game against the Atlanta Braves.

Just comment on this update between now and the end of the Timber Rattlers game at Beloit on Sunday, May 2.

The Rattlers will take the names and pick out a winner.

I should also mention that Fang T. Rattler is doing the same contest for the Monday, May 10 game against the Braves.

Good luck.

A deal for you

This e-mail arrived in my inbox last night during the game from the Timber Rattlers ticket department:

Fans who purchase a ticket in the new all-you-can-eat seats April 20-25 will receive a bobblehead that night. For fans who missed out on opening day this year or last year as fans can choose to receive either of the opening day bobbleheads. Tickets for the ayce seats can be purchased online. Bobbleheads will be delivered to the seats that night.

I ran that through a free on-line translator and I got this back in bullet point form

  • With your purchase, you may choose one of two bobbleheads: The Opening Day Bobblehead of 2009 or The Opening Day Bobblehead of 2010.
  • You may purchase the tickets for the section online, in person at the box office, or over the phone (800) WI-TIMBER or (920) 733-4152.
  • The bobblehead you select will be delivered to your seat on the night you are at the game.

In closing:

In case you hadn't heard...

A blog post seems so impersonal. But, it's easier that 100,000 thank you notes....107,362 thank you notes to be exact.
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are in uncharted territory. The Midwest League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers have broken the 100,000 mark in attendance in the first half for the first time in the fifteen year history of the franchise.

The benchmark was surpassed on Friday night when 3,602 were on hand to push the Timber Rattler attendance to 102,999. The previous first half record for the franchise was set in 1998 when 92,563 fans attended games at then four-year old Fox Cities Stadium.

"The Timber Rattlers want to thank all of our fans for making this possible," said Timber Rattlers president Rob Zerjav. "It has been a terrific first half and the crowds have been great. Our staff is already hard at work to make the second half of the season even better."

Wisconsin ended their first half schedule on Saturday night in front of 4,363 fans at Time Warner Cable Field to give the team a first half attendance of 107,362 in 33 openings for an average of 3,253 per game.
Here's to great weather and big crowds in the second half. Click through on the link to see what the all time attendance record is.

Then, click here to find out more about how you can pick up a Summer 4-pack of games for just $35. Plus, when you order you receive a $10 gift card.

Hurry. The offer is good now through June 19.

Oh, you didn't know?!?!?!

Man, I miss The New Age Outlaws. And if they didn't have tickets for tomorrow's Timber Rattler home opener beforehand, then they would miss us.
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are proud to announce that tickets for tomorrow's Opening Day at Time Warner Cable Field are sold out. The ballpark seats 4,528, with additional space for general admission. Tomorrow's game between the Timber Rattlers & the Quad Cities River Bandits will be the first game the Rattlers will play as an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

The previous Opening Day attendance record was established when Fox Cities Stadium first opened in 1995. Attendance for that game was 3,474.
Perhaps, they had better caaaaallllllll soooooommmmmmmmeboddddeeeeee!

And if they're not down with that, then I've got four words for them!

BUY EARLY NEXT TIME!

In response to a comment

Thanks to The Kid for responding in the comments, but to put a semi-official stamp on what he said.

Ticket packages were going out all last week.

In fact, the US Postal Service may actually run at a profit this month. This is because the conference room was clogged up with...I mean, the ticket office personnel were hard at work in the conference room getting those ticket-stuffed envelopes out to you...the fans of the Timber Rattlers.

They probably would have been out sooner, but for some reason there were a lot more that needed to be sorted and sent out this year.

Wonder why that was.

Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!

Remember those pictures of the lines from last Saturday? From a team release, here is the result:
At the close of business later that day, box seats, patio tables, VIP suites & Miller High Life Home Run Porch tickets for the Timber Rattlers home opener on Thursday, April 9th were sold out. Reserved & general admission tickets still remain for the first game the Rattlers will play as an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Opening Day is shaping up to be a pretty good day. There's still room, but if you want one of those Fang/Bernie Bobbleheads you better get moving. But, if you miss out on Opening Day, there are some good deals for the rest of Opening Weekend.
The Miller High Life Home Run Porch special is still available for the games on Friday, April 10th and Saturday, April 11th. For only $10 in advance or $15 day of game, fans can watch the action from the porch and enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet during the game.

Time Warner Cable customers can present their bill at the Timber Rattlers ticket office and receive ½ priced reserved seat ticket (limit 4) for any of the games Opening Weekend (April 9-11).
See you soon. See you real soon.

Answering a question (UPDATED)

There was a question from Josh in the comments about tickets for the Miller Park game. Here it is:
For those of us that have that Friday's game as included in a ticket package (either a mini plan or half season plan or what have you), if we can't make that game in Milwaukee is our best option just to exchange it for a different game?

As for those that have that ticket in a package, but still plan to attend it in Milwaukee, how should they go about exchanging tickets?
Well, that's technically two questions.

Taking #1 first: Please contact the Timber Rattlers at (920) 733-4152 and ask for either Aaron or Darren in the ticket department and they will be able to exchange your tickets before the ticket books go out in the mail.

Taking #2 second: For fans who have the Miller Park game in a ticket package already, you will receive that ticket in your ticket books when they go out.....

and I forgot to ask if the seats would be assigned or if you need to contact the Brewers to reserve your seat....

So, I guess, I'll just be updating this later then...

UPDATE:

If you have a ticket package that includes the Miller Park Game on April 24, your package will include an assigned seat at Miller Park. You do not need to exchange them for anything.

I hope that clears up everything.
