That was a weird night

Last night in pictures

This first photo was taken at 3:35pm. Make a note of the position of the tarp roller in the lower right hand corner of the photgraph.

This, I believe, is a front moving into the area.

This picture would make one heck of a demotivational poster for the word ominous.

Probably the trees whipping around in the wind and the rain.

This photo was taken at about 7:15pm. None of the fans were allowed into the stadium due to the power outage.

On Twitter, I remarked that it looked like the water hazard for the obstacle course on The Superstars....The Superstars? Bob Seagren won the first one? Kyle Rote, Jr. used to do pretty well in it, too if I remember?

Pardon our dust

Just because the season is over, doesn't mean the grounds crew stops working. They have been digging a trench to lay in some drainage tile to help the warning track, um, drain after it rains.

I grabbed the camera and here are the results...

Morning over the Ballpark

An early morning tarp pull equals a nice view of a crescent moon with Venus at dawn.


That is Venus to the left of the Moon in the top picture. The blur is from the movement of the camera at the time of the picture.

Times like these, I wish I had a better photographer on the blog staff.
