I think that I just said something like: Six am bus departure times and 4pm game times are not conducive to being productive.
But there is nothing quite like the adrenaline rush you get when you wake up in your recliner without an alarm going off and wondering if that is a five or a six on the digital clock on the other side of the room
Unless it's the adrenaline rush you get when you are trying to figure out if you left your cell phone charger on the table at home, on the desk at work, or if it is safely packed somewhere in your briefcase but you just can't get to it to find out for sure.....
Enough about me...A short day of posting today. Sorry, but game time is in two hours.
A place to follow the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Midwest League, Minor League baseball, Major League Baseball, and everything in between in that order.

Honored, I guess...
Owen Serey, the Silver Hawks broadcaster has a scouting report....On me?
But, a form of it has been used in both real life and the Monk Universe.
The Chris Mehring Experience. No one has ever used anything like that. Right?
I keep getting questions asking whether I'm ready for the Chris Mehring experience.I've been going back and forth on a name for my band. I really like The Chris Mehring Project, because, well, I am a project.
I mean, I know Chris is a heck of a broadcaster for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, but when he comes to town, is it really an experience? I guess we'll find out.

This week at the Bubbler
The new This Week in Timber Rattler Baseball has been posted.
Relive the week that was in Rattler baseball. Also, Dan was kind enough to pass along a website for a better version of my WSUP song at the end of the column.

Meanwhile, over at the Bubbler
The latest edition of This Week in Timber Rattler Baseball has been posted.
The open:
The start of the season made the hearts of fans leap
As Wisconsin handed Quad Cities a three-game sweep.
It didn't rain the first week, but there was a cold snap
when Fort Wayne swept the Rattlers it left us wondering, "What is a TinCap?"
Pitching and defense have mostly been great
The hitters, though, have yet to control their on fate.
Now, it's a road trip to see some old faces
In Clinton, Iowa...of all the odd places.
Settle in now -- that order's not tall
Time for This Week in Timber Rattler Baseball!
Beware: Love and Rockets video at the end.
Follow the link!

Debut Column
My first attempt at a column over at SportsBubbler.com has been posted. A new column will be posted every Friday.
When reading the opening, it may help to have this in the background...
Of course, there is nothing like finding some errors in the copy after it has been posted. So to be fair to the Dayton Daily News, here are my typos.

How does this go?
Understanding how others see you helps you understand yourself.
I'm not sure if I picked that up from an episode of Wiseguy, a fortune cookie, or some website about understanding. But, after reading Ben Hill's post on his favorite blogs it seems to make a little sense.
By the way, click on that link in the excerpt and look at Ben's picture. Then, click on the link above the excerpt and look at Ben's picture. All you kids in high school and college, pay attention. That's what getting a job will do for you.
Although, I will give Ben credit. There are several reasons I don't post my picture with my profile. The main one is that I don't want to turn you into stone when you look at it.

As someone who has engaged in my own half-insane blogging adventures, I greatly enjoy announcer Chris Mehring's wide-ranging, highly-detailed, and humor-laced posts. As I mention in the comments over at the post, there is nothing half-insane about my blogging. I go for 100% every time.
