Well, here are the views from just before the game.
And now that I have this new editor figured out, here are the views from the rain delay:
Still raining...Still lightning...Still waiting. So here is Casey At The Bat from Shelley Duvall's Tall Tales & Legends.
A place to follow the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Midwest League, Minor League baseball, Major League Baseball, and everything in between in that order.

July 7, 2009: Rain delay theater
Found this beauty the last time we needed rain delay theater and said to myself, "Mehring, you have got to use this next time."
Well, it's next time and here is a baseball themed episode of Ironside. Thank you, Hulu. You truly are a modern miracle.
Is that not the greatest open to a TV show ever? Don't argue with me on this. You cannot win. Cannot win.
The above episode is called The Tormentor.
For some reason, I am having trouble linking to the show page at tv.com. Links will need to be added later.
Enjoy.
Links added. And Yes. That is Gary Collins as the ballplayer for the Giants. Have you ever seen more convincing baseball action within a television show?

Rain Delay Theater -- June 19, 2009
Hi. Brick, here. Bad weather is coming. I can feel it in my humps. It's going to be bad and we may be in for a long night. The Cougars have a big crowd rolling into the stadium. Plus, they are in a playoff hunt and do not want a doubleheader tomorrow. If there is one thing that I hate as much as bad weather, it would be waiting. But, Brick the wait hating bactrian just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Brick is right! The tarp is on the field but it isn't raining...yet. But, when it does, you'll all be glad that the tarp is on the field. Go look for yourselves. In the interim, enjoy the rich cheesey goodness of this baseball themed Remington Steele episode with the tasty Stephanie Zimbalist from the files of Hulu.

Rain Delay Theater -- May 12, 2009
It is not raining in Cedar Rapids...yet...so, we are in a delay.
That means it's time to pass the time with this classic cartoon baseball game between Good and Evil...with an assist from The Real Ghostbusters.
Oh, you know you want to click part two:
And now, the exciting conclusion of Night Game

Carl's Rain Delay Theater
Hi, Timber Rattler fans, Carl, the Rain-hating Camel here. As you may be able to gather from my name, I hate rain. I love baseball. So, since it is raining in Beloit right now and the Rattler game is in a rain delay, I still want to watch some baseball. What to do? What to do? To the internet!...
Eureka!
Here is an episode of Home Run Derby that featured Willie Mays against Mickey Mantle. Enjoy and remember, I hate the rain.

It's in Japanese, but the universal language of humiliation is well understood.
