A few housekeeping notes

#1) I cleaned up the sidebar. The countdown clock is gone. The Record attendance and the attendance comparison are gone.

There are a few things over on the right that I need to add, but I think that I will have time after today's game or at some point on the weekend.

#2) You may want to make plans to head over to the Post-Crescent's Sports For Lunch at the Paper Valley Hotel on Tuesday. I'll explain why after the game.

#3) You may want to head over to Let's Go Rattlers right now. Sweet pictures of players in their new '82 Brewers-themed Wisconsin jerseys.

Guess what.

Can't sleep.

The trailer has been cleaned...well, straightened up, to within an inch of its life. There is a Without A Trace/Cold Case block of episodes on TNT right now. Then, there is the packing/unpacking/repacking of the plastic bag and brief case and radio equipment case and...well, you get the idea.

There are a few things to blog about tonight and I'll get a few of the daily posts out before heading to the ballpark in about 3-1/2 hours. Then, it's out on the road to West Michigan.

The Plan for today

Game notes and today's pitcher post will follow. If there is time tonight, I'll settle in an put a few more posts up on the site.

There will be a slight delay

The team bus rolled in to the parking lot around 5am, but my brain is somewhere back on the Illinois Tollway.

I got a late start and need to check out of the hotel in the next 15 minutes.

The frames of a few posts are going up next. Then, I'll fill them in if there is some WiFi at the mall.

Room to spare

The bus to the ballpark was supposed to be at 10:15. Unforeseen circumstances caused a delay and the bus arrived about five minutes ago.

I'm kind of scrambling around right now. So, the only posts going up this morning will be Game Notes and Today's Start in pitcher.

Hopefully, the rest of the stuff will be up later today.

Present

Hi. It has been a couple of busy days and I apologize for not updating yet today.

I'm going to take about the next hour to take care of some things around the trailer before heading out on the road.

Then, there's a new Law & Order: CI. I have to see how they can top Jeff Garlin as the bad guy from last week.

After that, I'll try to do a little posting on various things.

I'm running a little late this morning. Broadcast time is in an hour and ten minutes.

I'll get a few things on the site now. There are a few things that I need to work on this afternoon. Then, there was something else...Oh, that's right. There's another game at 7:00pm tonight.

A little on a Sunday night

I have a lot to do in the morning....Believe it or not.

So, I'm going to post a few things now, update them with a few links when I can, and maybe get to a few others in the afternoon tomorrow.

HOME OPENER

Tonight is the night. So much to do. So little time. Will try to update here later. But, so much to do. Have to run.

Are you kidding me?

Somehow, Rattler Radio didn't just set a new high for visits yesterday. It went way beyond and almost doubled the previous high. Again, it may not seem like much, but 223 visits is a good number over here. Most of those were probably multiple check backs for the roster, but still....

So, of course, I've got to cut back on the posting a bit today and tomorrow. There are a lot of things going on today -- mainly the Lead-off Experience tonight. Then, there that bus ride to Davenport tomorrow.

There should be more regular posting as we move into the season. But, right now scattered would be a good word.

Blogging will be light....

A lot to do and not a lot of time to do it. When the roster is released, I'll have something here. If the weather cooperates, I'll live-blog the scrimmage against Lawrence University that is scheduled for 3:00pm.

There may be a larger round-up of news later tonight.
