A reminder about the Radio
I have a meeting with WNAM about an hour from now. Just a reminder that there are still some available sponsorships for the season. Contact me at rattlerradio@timberrattlers.com to find out how affordable it all is.
You can hear the games on 1280AM or on the internet.
For the radio, you should be able to find 1280 on your AM dial without any problems.
For internet, you will need to download Microsoft Silverlight. Head over here and you should have no problem either.

Working on it....(UPDATED)
The radio broadcast is in a slight delay right now. The equipment is not connecting proper;y to the studio....Hopefully, this will be fixed by game time.

We are go for launch on Thursday night
I just checked the connection with the studio and it is working fine now. The radio/internet feeds should be back to normal Thursday night.

Rattlers fans, we have a problem...
There was some construction work near the radio station down in Oshkosh today.
Long story short...well, I'll let this part of the e-mail from the Chief Engineer of the radio group fill you in on the situation...
A construction crew cut the main phone line cable running through by the studios. The bank was out (they closed and went home early), we are out, Walmart is out. It was a pretty major cable.
The last I heard was it would be operational by 9 PM. Obviously it could be sooner though.
Sorry, I just found out about this and I do not believe that we will have a broadcast tonight -- at least for the first six or seven innings. I'll set up a live blog and you can follow it here. Or, here is the link to John Rodgers and the Cedar Rapids Kernels internet broadcast.

July 3, 2009: Transaction
Just making this official on the blog.
Outfielder Lorenzo Cain activated from the Huntsville disabled list and transferred to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
Wisconsin's roster is at 24.
If you are in the area, Channel 2 was down and had a quick interview with Cain. It should run in their 6:00pm news.
Jeff Isom is on the radio pre-game show tonight at about 6:45pm CDT. We'll talk a little Lorenzo Cain, a little Wily Peralta, a little about the close games, as well as a few other things.

Made it...And a few more programming notes
I am set up on press row at Alliant Energy Field for the All-Star Game.
I also just found out that if you have some problems with the Clinton audio feed, there are two other broadcasts that MIGHT be available.

About tonight's broadcast
A limited pre-game show tonight. Air time is at 5:30pm with game one starting at 5:35pm.
Due to the fact that I had a few technical issues (which have since been fixed) last night -- and that I'll be keeping the broadcast at the stadium between games, I will be rerunning the Daniel Meadows interview between games.
I am also going to try to catch Kernels broadcaster John Rodgers for an interview to run between games. You listeners deserve to hear someone who has a much better outlook on life than me...I mean than Brick. Yes, a much better outlook than Brick.
Who, if I can read a radar correctly, appears to have done his job today and kept the rain away from the ballpark.
He'll need a few camel snacks for that job.

Just wrapped up the tour...

Right now, I have to head down and do a few interviews and some standups for Timber Rattler Field Pass. Also, tonight's pre-game show guest is manager Jeff Isom.

I did not have time to get the audio highlights or interviews cut from yesterday's marathon broadcast (On at 6:15pm; off at 11:00pm). That may be a Sunday or Monday post-game project.
As a personal note to the Millers, I had the interview of Erik pulled and e-mailed, but it bounced from your the address you gave me.
I think that I'll just be posting links to all of the player interviews as part of that Sunday/Monday project.
