Good afternoon, everyone!
Rattler Radio was not updated this morning. Laundry and various other sundry things on the agenda kept me from posting last night.
Oversleeping and catching a ride to the All-Star Game in Fort Wayne kept me from updating everything this morning.
Now, I am at Parkview Field about two hours before the skills competition and the home run hitting contest.
I will be live blogging tonight's action and tomorrow's game. Also, in between festivities, I will try to keep updated on all of the other various fun things we like to do around here.
A place to follow the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Midwest League, Minor League baseball, Major League Baseball, and everything in between in that order.

Just the basics today
Early morning bus and a couple of transactions have put me a bit behind schedule.
Today's Posts (In order of appearance):
Transactions
Brewers System Report
Game Notes
Tonight's Pitchers
Appearance by Telemachus, the Tarping Tapir
FOX 11 Report on Mother's Day Brunch
Maybe starting lineups. Telly will have more in his report.
There may be a 'Mehring Monday' later tonight. It will still technically be Monday when I start writing it.

To quote Kosh
Early morning bus times and first days of road trips are not conducive to timely blogging. Lots of information to post and not a lot of time to do it.
But, understanding is a three-edged sword.
So enough with the Babylon 5 references...To the Posting!

A word before starting...
I took the morning off after a bit of a tough loss last night. Geeze.
Anyway, in case you haven't been following the discussion at the bottom of this post, go over there. This is how people who disagree...or agree to disagree in this case...should hash things out on line.
Well done, gentlemen.
Although, if any of you refer to me of Papa Mehring in the future...Let's just say that we'll have a talk.

Four hours
No. Seriously. It took me four hours to put up those last two posts.
There is other stuff I need to do now. So, I'll try to get more posted from the ballpark later tonight.

Taking the second option
It is a little less than three hours to game time.
Option one is to go through all the stories for the Mariner affiliates that I've missed over the last week, get the game notes post and the tonight's pitcher post up, and say the heck with batting practice and the rest of my game prep.
Option two if to put up the game notes and tonight's pitcher post up and take care of the rest of my game prep.
I'm going with option two, because it actually gives me something to do tomorrow and I am incredibly lazy.

Is that enough for today?
I think so.
I'll try to get caught up on the Seattle affiliates, Rattler history since...2000, and a few other things later this week.
For right now, I did want to provide a pointer to the current auction going on over at milb auctions.
Here is the link for the autographed Denny Almonte Stars and Stripes Jersey.

The Game notes and tonight's pitcher post will be next.

One thing, one other thing, and one more day
Sssssssalutationsssssss, Timber Rattler fanssssssss. I am Crotor and my purposssssse is threefold. The firsssst issss to put an ancient Wissssssconssssssin bowling ssssssupersssssstion out there. You ssssssee, if a bowler issss rolling poorly, a mark called a sssssssnake isssss drawn after a frame to give that bowler a new sssssstart. Here I am. Fresh sssssstart today.
After ten lossssssessssss in a row, my namessssssakessss really need a ssssssnake.
Ssssssecond isssssss a team transsssssaction: Gavin Dickey headsssssss for the High Dessssert Maverickssssss today. Danny Carroll rejoinsssssss the Rattlerssssssss tonight.
The other is to apologissssssse for the lack of possssstssssss. Mehring has been particularly lazy lately. He is going to get it together for tomorrow, though.

It is alive!
Quick story.
A power supply for a laptop dies at 4pm. A replacement is needed, but can't be found until the local Radio Shack opens at 10am the next day.
A customer unironically wearing a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon T-shirt is spotted at said local Radio Shack.
The power supply is purchased. The computer lives. Work begins.
Blog will be updated later.

More later
There are some things that need to be done before the bus leaves. I'll try to check in from the hotel or the ballpark before the game tonight.
The pitching matchups for the Kane County series will be up top for a while.

Remember yesterday?
When I said the blog would be better today?
I misunderestimated.
There are a few looming writing deadlines and an afternoon meeting that needs to take precedence.
I'll have the game notes stuff up later.
In the meantime:
Lookout Landing and Mariner Minors will get you caught up on the M's system. Baker's blog will catch you up on the big league club.
To the Word Processing Program!

One goal achieved, one traffic spike
If you take a look over to the left of the blog, you will notice that I got around to adding some of the websites mentioned in the "Goals" post a few weeks ago. So, I'm done for the season...kidding.
Not sure why this would happen for any reason other than baseball season is almost here, but 111 visitors popped by Rattler Radio yesterday. It may not seem like much. In fact, it really isn't much. But, that was the best traffic day in a long time. Thanks for stopping by.
I'll be back later with a few updates. Not sure if later will mean lunch or after work, but I'll have a few later today. Have build the blogging stamina to posting more than once a day.
