Mariner System Report (Games of 4/19)

SEATTLE (MAJ: 5-5; 2nd AL West): The Mariners lost 5-4 to the Twins. Minnesota scored three runs in the top of the first inning against Felix Hernandez (WI ’03) who pitched 1/3 of an inning before leaving with an injury. Richie Sexson hit a three run homer for Seattle.

TACOMA (AAA: 6-8; T-2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers beat Fresno 4-2. Jon Nelson (WI ’03) had two hits and drove in a run for Tacoma in the win. Eric O’Flaherty (WI ’05) pitched two scoreless innings for his third of the season.

WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 5-8; T-3rd Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Mississippi 9-1. Brent Johnson (WI ’05) had three hits and Luis Valbuena (WI ’06) homered for West Tennessee as the offense had 14 hits. Robert Rohrbaugh (WI ’05) allowed one run on three hits over five innings for the win.

HIGH DESERT (High-A: 4-9; T-4th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 6-5 at Inland Empire. Michael Saunders (WI ’06) scored a pair of runs for High Desert. But, the 66ers rallied for the win.
