2006 MWL All-Star game in a Word

Bruce.

Remember that Monty Python sketch about everyone in the Philosophy Department at the University of Woolamaloo in Australia being named Bruce?

The Western Division must feel like that after Dayton Dragon outfielder Jay Bruce had three hits, scored three runs, hit a homer, stole a base and drove in two runs for a 7-1 win for the Eastern Division.

All five Rattlers got into the game. Here's how they did:

Ron Garth started at third base for the Western Division and went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.

Casey Craig started in left field and went 0-for-3 with two strikeotus.

Jefferey Dominguez entered the game in the top of the sixth inning at second base and reached on an error in his only at bat.

Pitcher Edgar Guaramato retired the only batter he faced to get the final out of the top of the eighth inning.

Pitcher Harold Williams walked the only batter he faced, the leadoff batter in the top of the ninth inning.
