One more change in the Quad Cities

I missed this with all the hoopla over the naming rights and the name change for the Davenport Midwest League team. But, going to a River Bandit game got a little more affordable than going to a SWING game.
Baseball fans in the Quad Cities got an early Christmas present on Tuesday, as new ownership group Main Street Iowa announced a new ticket pricing structure designed to make a trip to the ballpark more affordable and fan-friendly for the 2008 season. In addition, fans sitting in Club Seats will have access to personal wait staff working in the seating bowl.

The most significant change will be a reduction in the price of box seats, the blue reserved seats that cost fans $9.00 per seat last season. These seats will be split into two sections in 2008. The first eight rows will be classified as Lower Box Seats, and will still be priced at $9.00 per ticket. The remaining rows will now be called Upper Box Seats and will be priced at just $8.00.

Berm seating and standing room tickets will be even cheaper, as fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a ballgame in those areas for only $5.00. These tickets will be sold separately from General Admission bleacher seating, which will remain at $7.00, though tickets for seniors and children under 12 will be just $6.00.

Ticket prices going down. Wow.
