From the Traverse City Record-Eagle: There is one thing that owners of automobiles, attending the games will have to be careful of, and that is running across the outfield while games are in progress. It not only cuts up the field, but should a ball be hit into the outfield when a car is going across the field ten or fifteen miles per hour, there is a great danger of players running into it. There is a good half mile track around the field, that is just right for those who wish to get on the east side of the grounds.

Good advice from the early 20th Century.
