Boog Powell went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Pat Gillick picked three runners off first base in the game....BUT, Gillick lost and saw his nine game winning streak come to an end.

The Foxes record fell to 49-33.  They are still in first place in the Three-I League, but it is now Burlington in second place and five games back.

Post-Crescent headline: Foxes cruise past Timbers

From Gary Shriver's article:
Wausau - which has seen everything imaginable during a 9-game losing streak - didn't decide on its starting pitcher until just before gametime Sunday, and then probably made the wrong choice.

Left-hander BRett Davis couldn't find the plate for much of the first inning, walking Pete Venturini, Troy Thomas, Jerry Bertolani, and Wes Kent to force in a run. Davis got the ball over to the following 2 hitters.  Buck Autry responded with a 2-run single and John Caianiello followed with a run producing single to make it 4-0.
Kent started the second with a home run.  Greg Tarnow and Mike Taylor both had RBI singles in the inning and 7-0 was a big enough lead for Ken Reed, who threw six shutout innings.

The Foxes are 60-35 on the season.  They hold first place in the Northern Division of the Midwest League.  Kenosha and Madison are both tied for second place 12.5 games behind the Foxes.
