Chiefs to Host Cubs Playoff Parties at Kelleher's

The Peoria Chiefs would like to invite all their great fans to join them for Cubs Playoff Parties at Kelleher’s Irish Pub and Eatery on Water Street. The first party will be on Wednesday as the Cubs face the Arizona Diamondbacks at 9:00 pm. For each Cubs playoff game in 2007, Kelleher’s will provide Old Style drafts for $1.00 and Chicago Hot Dogs for $1.50.
Oops. A little late with that one.

Schedule includes April homestand
The Peoria Chiefs announced their 2008 schedule Tuesday.

"It's not the best schedule we've ever had, but it's probably not the worst one either." Chiefs president Rocky Vonachen said. "We'll deal with it best we can."

The season starts April 3 in Burlington with a four-game series against the Bees. After that the Chiefs come home for 10 days, starting April 7.

"It's not good with a 10-game homestand to start with in April," Vonachen said. "That's always tough to do. Also having just one weekend in July isn't good, but we do get every weekend in June."
